The President of the Spanish Government joins the Madrid Bar Association’s European Union Law Summit Honorary Committee.

The President of the Spanish Government, Pedro Sánchez Castejón, will be part of the Honorary Committee of the European Union Law Summit organized by the Madrid Bar Association on the 16th and 17th of November.

This Honorary Committee presided over by HM King Felipe VI, includes public figures such as the President of the Constitutional Court, Cándido Conde-Pumpido; the President of the General Council of the Judiciary, Vicente Guilarte; the Vice-President of the European Commission, Margaritis Schinas; the President of the Council of State, Magdalena Valerio; the Mayor of Madrid, José Luis Martínez-Almeida; and the State Attorney General, Álvaro García Ortiz.

European Union Law Summit

On the 16th  and 17th of November, the “European Union Law Summit for Law Professionals”, organized by the Madrid Bar Association in the framework of the Spanish Presidency of the Council of the EU, will be held in the new Royal Collections Gallery.

The Summit will bring together a wide range of jurists and high-ranking institutional representatives to analyze the main regulatory challenges facing the European Union in the medium and long term. The academic program, developed in close collaboration with the Legal Service of the European Commission, includes high-priority topics of the European strategic agenda such as the European Green Deal, the regulation of Artificial Intelligence, the EU’s Economic Security Strategy, and the freedom of expression of the media, among many others.

In order to facilitate attendance for all legal operators, the Madrid Bar Association has established discounts for both young lawyers and legal aid lawyers. Likewise, online streaming will be available at a very low cost.
