Venues
The panels of the European Union Law Summit will take place in an incomparable setting: the Royal Collections Gallery of Madrid, which opened to the public in July 2023. This is the most important museum project of recent decades in Spain. Located between the Almudena Cathedral and the Royal Palace, the building’s narrow and vertical structure builds a linear space overlooking the Campo del Moro.
The building is a fully contemporary work, sober and simple, but, at the same time, it is an architectural masterpiece. The interior is surprising for its spaciousness, natural light, and views of the exterior landscape. This new space of Patrimonio Nacional has a 300-seat auditorium, a temporary exhibition hall of almost 800 square meters, and a multipurpose room for courses and workshops. It also has one of the most modern and spacious warehouses of cultural property in Europe.
The Gala Dinner of the Summit will be held at the Palacio de Liria, a unique urban palace located in the center of Madrid, built in the 18th century. Being the official residence of the House of Alba in the capital, it is the main home of its priceless art collection and historical archive.
