The Summit<\/strong><\/h4>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The Madrid Bar Association (ICAM) will be celebrating the European Union Law \u00a0Summit for Legal Professionals on November 16th <\/sup><\/span>\u00a0and 17th<\/sup><\/span> , 2023.<\/p>\n

Summit goals and topics<\/strong><\/h5>\n

The Summit aims to:<\/p>\n

    \n
  • Bring European Union law closer to legal professionals from a cross- cutting perspective.<\/li>\n
  • Increase the knowledge about EU law.<\/li>\n
  • Disseminate its influence and regulatory impact in Spain. Address the main medium and long-term challenges facing the European Union.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    The Summit will address topics such as the European Green Deal, the EU Artificial \u00a0Intelligence \u00a0Act, \u00a0the \u00a0EU’s \u00a0relationship \u00a0with \u00a0Latin \u00a0America, \u00a0the health of the Rule of Law in the EU, and the European Pact on Migration and<\/p>\n

    Asylum, among many others.<\/p>\n

    Format and participants<\/strong><\/h5>\n

    Through a wide range of institutional events, expert panels, and meetings with national and international authorities, the Summit will also provide an initial assessment of the Spanish Presidency in the Council of the EU.<\/p>\n

    To achieve this, the Summit will count on the participation of prestigious personalities and jurists in the\u00a0 European field, ambassadors, high representatives of Spanish and European authorities, representatives of international legal organizations, and presidents of European \u00a0bar associations. From the private sector, national \u00a0and \u00a0international \u00a0lawyers, legal advisors, and corporate counsel will participate, providing an excellent opportunity to highlight the commitment to the development of EU law and international collaboration between the public and private sectors.<\/p>\n

    Structure and content<\/strong><\/h5>\n

    The summit will take place over two days and will include \u00a0institutional events, expert panels, and meetings with national and international authorities.<\/p>\n

    It is projected to hold a total of 250 people, with three simultaneous sessions and a main auditorium for the opening and closing plenaries.<\/p>\n
